Field Service Technician IThe Field Service Technician I plays a vital role in ensuring the accurate installation of low voltage systems. They will encompass efficient teamwork and independent project execution. Beyond the installation, they will excel in delivering fundamental customer training on system operations. The role not only involves technical progress but also demands effective communication and dedication to precision, guaranteeing the successful implementation and functionality of these systems.Field Service Technician I Responsibilities:Reviews project quotes and scopes before beginning an onsite executionInspects installation sites, studies work orders, architectural plans, and comprehensive installation methodsInstalls low voltage cabling, devices, and systems, adhering to precise specifications, relevant codes, and industry practices, as directed by their supervisorTroubleshoot and diagnose issues with installed systemsConduct routine maintenance and inspections of systems as neededRespond promptly to service calls and customer inquiriesTravel extensively across mostly within the Midwest and on occasion weekends that are necessary for multiple sites; Home most weekendsProvide excellent customer service and maintain customer satisfactionField Service Technician I Qualifications:Hands-on/field experience from previous work experiencePossesses and maintains a working knowledge of basic IT networking, configurations and IP addressingAbility to read architectural drawingsTeam management/supervisor experiencePrevious experience completing projects within scopePrevious experience with service ticketing processesAny previous knowledge in fire, CCTV, intrusion, emergency nurse call systemsExcellent communication skillsMust have valid US Driver's licenseAbout K Group CompaniesK Group is a locally owned and operated technology service provider that was established in Grand Rapids, MI in 1980.
