Snapshot / Role Overview

We're looking for a Building Automation Controls Sales Representative for Los Angeles, Orange County, and the Inland Empire to sell service agreements and project work from an existing installed base. This is a hunting seat, not a cold-call desk.

Impact

• Convert an installed base into recurring service agreement revenue.
• Win the retrofit and upgrade projects that technicians surface.
• Build the mechanical contractor and consulting engineer relationships that produce plan-and-spec work.
• Give operations a forecast they can staff against.

Responsibilities

• Sell building automation service agreements to commercial, institutional, and healthcare owners.
• Scope and sell controls retrofits, upgrades, and plan-and-spec projects.
• Build takeoffs and proposals with estimating and engineering.
• Develop mechanical contractors, general contractors, and consulting engineers as referral channels.
• Walk buildings with owners and turn what you see into scope.
• Own the number, the pipeline, and the forecast for your territory.
• Hand off cleanly to project management and service.

Must-Haves

• Sold building automation, controls, mechanical service, or a closely related line.
• Ability to scope a building and write a proposal.
• Disciplined pipeline management.

Nice-to-Haves

• Technical background as a controls technician or engineer.
• Existing relationships in the Southern California owner and engineer community.

Compensation and Logistics

Competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits. Based in Southern California with travel across the territory.
