Heavy Equipment OperatorPay: $23-$26 an hour depending on experienceHours: Monday – Friday 6am-6pmAre you someone who likes to work with others? Are you willing to operate machinery safely and see the success of an exciting industry?Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator at our surface operations in Marshall, MO. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to move material within the plant.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta's Guardian Angel cultureInspect equipment for signs of wearPerform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipmentWork in a team environmentClean work areasManeuver trucks into loading or unloading positionsProper wear of personal protective equipmentNotify supervisors of repairs neededEnsure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirementsAssist in plant maintenance and repairsPerform duties with minimum supervisionQualifications:Required Education and Experience:High school diploma, GED or equivalent1+ years of related experienceValid US driver's licenseSkills:Ability to work with minimal supervisionKnowledge of MSHA regulationsEffective verbal communicationKnowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenancePhysical Abilities:Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-roundGeneral physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling materialAdditional Information:In addition to the primary responsibilities outlined, the successful candidate may be expected to take on other tasks and assignments as required, including but not limited to duties outside the typical scope of the role to support overall team operations and organizational needs.
