Overview The Fordy Group are pleased to announce that they are partnered with a top civil GC who are actively looking for talented Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers and Senior Project Managers for their utilities construction division. Proj ect Manager Project Manager: The Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering utility construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This role ensures projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with company standards for quality and client satisfaction. Working within a heavy civil construction environment, the Project Manager oversees all underground utility installations - including water, sewer, pipeline and storm systems while coordinating across internal teams, subcontractors, and clients. We would like to place emphasis on early planning, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving to ensure successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities Manage all phases of utility construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and closeout Coordinate installation of underground utilities such as water mains, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with overall site development timelines Identify risks early and implement solutions before construction begins Lead project teams including field staff, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors Collaborate with engineering, design, and preconstruction teams to resolve issues proactively Foster a team-oriented, relationship-driven work environment Safety & Quality Assurance Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all regulations Promote a strong safety culture through training and leadership Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to specifications Qualifications 5+ years of experience in heavy civil or utility construction project management Strong knowledge of underground utility systems and site development Experience managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractors Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Preferred Skills Experience with design-build or turnkey construction projects Familiarity with trenchless technology, excavation, and grading operations Proficiency in construction management software Combination of office and active construction site environments Frequent travel to project sites Exposure to outdoor conditions and heavy equipment operations Why Join us?
