Material HandlerPoway - 6am or 8:30am start$19/hr - goes to $20/hr when made permanentJob DescriptionThis Material Handler role supports a busy manufacturing and warehouse operation by safely moving materials, handling inventory, and ensuring accurate documentation using forklifts, RF scanners, and ERP systems. The position runs on a morning-to-afternoon shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.ResponsibilitiesSafely operate forklifts to move, stage, and organize materials throughout the warehouse and manufacturing areas.Load and unload materials, components, and finished goods from trucks and other delivery vehicles.Perform material transfers between different locations within the warehouse and manufacturing facility, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Use RF scanners to accurately pick, scan, and track inventory and materials.Support kitting activities by assembling and preparing materials and components according to work orders or production requirements.Maintain accurate inventory records by following established procedures and using ERP systems such as NetSuite.Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse procedures to maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.Collaborate with manufacturing and warehouse team members to ensure materials are available where and when they are needed.Identify and report any discrepancies, damaged materials, or inventory issues to the appropriate personnel.Assist with general warehouse tasks as needed to support smooth daily operations.Essential SkillsAt least 1 year of warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment.Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.Ability to load and unload materials safely and efficiently.Proficiency using RF scanners for inventory tracking and material handling.Experience with material transfers and inventory movement within a warehouse.Experience in manufacturing or production environments.Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling materials and documentation.Additional Skills & QualificationsCurrent and valid forklift certification is a strong plus.Experience with kitting processes and preparing materials for production is highly beneficial.Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, is a plus.Comfort working in a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.Strong communication and teamwork skills when working with warehouse and manufacturing staff.Why Work Here?Join a dynamic, high-activity operation where your contribution directly supports production and customer delivery. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
