Weldment Quality Assurance Inspector

Step onto the production floor and into a role where your eye for detail keeps every fabricated weldment and assembly on spec. As our Weldment Quality Assurance Inspector, you move between in‑process checkpoints and final inspection, comparing parts to drawings and standards, guiding rework when needed, and capturing every result in our Epicor quality database.

• Begin with in-process inspections: verify dimensions and features with tape measures, calipers, and micrometers; compare results to customer specifications and blueprints.
• When variation appears, communicate required adjustments promptly to the appropriate department manager and confirm that corrections are completed accurately.
• Approve or hold final products based on visual and measurement tests; manage rework and re-verify to close the loop.
• Document findings in reports and logs, summarize rework and waste, and enter data into Epicor to maintain accurate quality records.
• Determine disposition and apply tags per procedures during periodic inspections.
• Prepare and send reports to the Quality Manager as required.
• Follow instructions to keep measuring equipment in proper operating condition.

• Safety: Wear required PPE and follow all safety rules, procedures, and policies.
• Accountability: Own the quantity and quality of your work and strive for excellence.
• Follow procedures, work instructions, and operational processes; this role includes no supervisory responsibilities.

Non-compliance can result in increased customer rejections, internal scrap, delayed or late shipments, personal injury, and negative environmental impact. Everyone is responsible for containing and immediately notifying management of any nonconforming product.

• 1+ years of quality inspection experience or equivalent training.
• Background in a welding manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Skilled with inspection tools and methods: tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and documents; strong attention to detail and results focus.
• Knowledge of applicable safety standards and willingness to use PPE (face shield, gloves, etc.).
• Experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

This job operates in a manufacturing environment. You will regularly encounter loud noise, fumes and airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Work may involve or occur around chemicals with hazards defined in accessible Safety Data Sheets, and you may experience moderate temperature changes over an eight-hour shift.
