Baker and Packager Associate

Position Summary Sam's Club #4797, 2421 Supercenter Dr NE, Kannapolis, NC 28083-6426. Do you have a knack for helping people, following recipes, and staying organized? Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for our members through following recipes, wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise. You will juggle several tasks quickly while assisting members with bakery orders. It’s hard work but rewarding for those who thrive in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize member satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Scrum Team Interaction: Collaborate with other associates, communicate with team members, and adapt to business needs by working in other areas. Bakery Operations: Prepare bakery merchandise, operate baking equipment, follow recipes, wrap, label, store items, comply with food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintain equipment, and manage inventory. Digital Tool Utilization: Leverage handheld technology to make production decisions, order merchandise, train, and ensure product quality. Operational Excellence: Maintain work area, enforce quality and date control, secure merchandise, eliminate waste, assist members with purchasing decisions, and ensure proper packaging. Customer Experience: Advocate for the department, model high‑quality service, execute basics at high level, and exhibit energy and passion. Business Process: Comply with policies, use the Open Door Policy, and apply standards of ethics and integrity. Continuous Improvement: Complete assignments using policies, data, and resources; collaborate, identify priorities, communicate progress, recommend improvements, and adapt to changes. Candidate Profile 18 years of age or older. Fast‑paced, multi‑tasking, problem‑solving mindset. Physical stamina for standing long periods and lifting moderate loads.
