Nature & Scope:

Positional Overview

The Imagine Group is recruiting for a Senior UX/UI Product Designer on behalf of our client, a leading financial institution. This is a highly hands-on design role supporting a net-new internal enterprise web application used by CIOs and other senior technology leaders.

The ideal candidate will help define the application’s overall front-end experience, including wireframes, interactive prototypes, user flows, templates, visual structure, and look and feel. A major focus will be designing executive dashboards, reporting experiences, and data visualizations that make complex information intuitive and actionable.

This is a design-focused role, not a primary front-end development position. A separate Software Engineering team will handle implementation. The designer should, however, have strong modern front-end UI/UX knowledge and enough technical fluency to partner effectively with engineers and understand how designs translate into development.

Role & Responsibility:

Tasks That Will Lead to Your Success:

Design the UX/UI for a net-new internal enterprise web application used by senior technology leadership.

Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, user flows, templates, and detailed UI designs that are ready for engineering handoff.

Design intuitive executive dashboards, reporting experiences, and data visualizations that help users quickly understand complex information.

Help establish the application’s overall front-end experience, navigation, visual structure, templates, and look and feel.

Translate business requirements and ambiguous concepts into clear, user-centered design solutions.

Partner closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, Solution Architects, and other technical resources throughout the product development lifecycle.

Explore and iterate on multiple design concepts based on stakeholder and user feedback.

Apply user-centered design and design-thinking principles while balancing usability, business goals, and technical feasibility.

Work independently, proactively ask questions, identify blockers, and communicate effectively across product and engineering teams.

Participate in an Agile/Scrum development environment and support timely design-to-development handoffs.

Skills & Experience

Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive

Strong professional experience in UX/UI Design, Product Design, and/or Interaction Design; exact years are less important than the relevance and quality of past projects.

Demonstrated hands-on experience creating wireframes and interactive prototypes for modern web applications.

Experience designing enterprise applications, particularly complex or data-heavy user experiences.

Experience designing dashboards, executive reporting, analytics, and/or data visualization is highly preferred and will be an important consideration.

Strong understanding of modern web UI/UX principles and how designs translate into front-end development.

Working knowledge of React, Angular, Vue, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), Zeplin, or equivalent technologies/tools. Deep development expertise is not required.

Experience with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Zeplin, or equivalent platforms.

Ability to create and communicate user flows, prototypes, scenarios, wireframes, templates, and design concepts.

Experience collaborating closely with Product Owners and Software Engineering teams.

Strong visualization, presentation, communication, and project-management skills.

Ability to work independently, manage priorities, bring clarity to ambiguous requirements, and operate with a high degree of ownership.

Preferred Qualifications:

Portfolio demonstrating relevant enterprise UX/UI work. Examples involving executive dashboards, reporting, analytics, data visualization, enterprise web applications, wireframes, and prototypes are especially valuable.

Experience creating or contributing to reusable UI templates or design systems.

Experience designing internal enterprise applications for leadership or executive-level users.

Understanding of accessibility standards and cross-platform design considerations.

Financial-services experience is helpful but not required.

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, Computer Science, Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Employment Requirements:

This position is W2 only. C2C and 1099 arrangements are not available.
