About the Position

Job Title: Telemetry Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Telemetry experience with stroke care background. Must be comfortable floating between facilities as needed. Experience with post-cardiac catheterization care is required. Experience with step-down or tele units is necessary. Description: This position requires a telemetry registered nurse for night shifts. The average daily census for the unit is 16. A patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4-6 is expected. Nursing responsibilities include managing cardiac telemetry patients. Nurses will be working with adult and geriatric populations. Experience in post-thrombectomy care is preferred. The nurse will participate in post-cardiac care and monitor stroke patients. Familiarity with EPIC charting is necessary for this role. The unit may require the nurse to float to different service lines on occasion. The experience should include managing patients with various diagnoses, including heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. A commitment to excellent patient care and teamwork is essential.
