Position Overview :

Keep buildings clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs

• Clean and sanitize bathrooms

• Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms

• Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas

• Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary

• Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered

• Cleaning windowsills and windows

• Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner

• Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals

• Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times

• General building maintenance

• Other duties as assigned

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Forklift, EPJ, scrubber and scissor lift experience is preferred

• Good client/customer service skills

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks

• Ability to work effectively with a team

• Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort

• Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willing to learn

• Requires normal to complex manual dexterity level

*Grade 2.5 Hazardous waste program and equipment trained

Working Conditions ( :

Regularly required to work at heights on platforms, lifting parts and pieces up to 50 lbs., traveling up and down stairs on a constant basis, sitting, squatting and bending in various awkward positions for certain lengths of time - including working overhead, traveling in and out of work areas, walking and being on your feet for a majority of the workday. Exposed to noise, dust, fumes and odors daily. Physical exertion is required.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $18.50 - $21.00, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
