About the Diversion & Intervention Services Program
We partner with law enforcement and courts to equip officers and court staff with the tools, education, and strategies to respond effectively to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Our work helps prevent unnecessary arrests, court cases, and hospitalizations—empowering both professionals and the people they serve.
What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop assigned staff, supporting their success from onboarding through ongoing professional growth.
- Provide clinical guidance, consultation, and support to program staff to promote high-quality, person-centered services.
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate client care, address barriers, and support positive outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, including clients, managed care organizations, law enforcement, courts, and referral sources.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management for assigned staff.
- Monitor program operations and provide feedback, data, and reports to leadership and funding partners.
- Help ensure services meet applicable clinical, regulatory, and organizational standards while supporting the financial health of the program.
- Stay current in clinical practices, agency expectations, and training to effectively support staff and individuals with complex needs.
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and culturally responsive environment while protecting client confidentiality and health information.
Requirements of the Position
- Master's Degree in Counseling & Guidance, social work, family therapy or related field that would be eligible for a clinical license is required.
- Provisionally licensed (PLPC, LMSW, or PLMFT) in the State of Missouri is required.
- Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a reliable vehicle
- (Preferred) 2+ years of experience in a mental health setting and/or substance use disorder setting.
- Familiarity with mental illness and substance use disorders
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfort with electronic health records and intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and use of email.)
