Description:

We are seeking an experienced Master Data Management (MDM) Solution Architect for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role will lead the design, implementation, and operational support of enterprise MDM solutions. The architect will play a hands-on role in aligning MDM strategy with business processes, ensuring high-quality data management practices, and driving adoption of governance frameworks.


The ideal candidate will not only have technical MDM expertise but also the business acumen to connect data flows with organizational objectives, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and trust in enterprise data.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of MDM solutions across multiple data domains (Customer, Item, Price, Vendor, etc.).
• Partner with business and IT stakeholders to develop and operate mature data governance programs, ensuring accountability and stewardship.
• Define and maintain data lineage, transformation rules, and metadata in an enterprise data catalog.
• Ensure MDM solutions enhance data quality, integration, and standardization across enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with digital and enterprise teams to align MDM with operational and strategic initiatives.
• Provide thought leadership and best practices for data modeling, integration (ETL), and data quality frameworks.
• Support Agile/DevOps delivery models and contribute to continuous improvement of data architecture practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data management and architecture, with deep expertise in MDM solutions.
• Proven ability to impact business processes and enterprise data flows to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Experience building or operating within mature data governance programs with active business and IT participation.
• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL/integration, and data quality tools.
• Demonstrated ability to create/update data lineage, metadata, and transformation rules in data catalogs.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles and stewardship processes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid data architectures.
• Business acumen with experience in digital organizations preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with Agile or DevOps methodologies a plus.
