Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) Location: Vacaville, CA Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 8:00Am to 6:30Pm Compensation: $40/hr on 1099 About the Opportunity We are seeking Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCPs) to provide respiratory therapy services within California correctional healthcare facilities. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 12 continuous months of respiratory care experience within the last 3 years in a public or private healthcare setting performing similar duties. Current and valid California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License issued by the Respiratory Care Board of California. Current credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program approved by CoARC (or predecessor JRC-RTE ). Responsibilities: Provide respiratory therapy services following evidence-based clinical practices. Assess patients and perform respiratory evaluations. Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory treatments. Set up, monitor, and educate patients on respiratory therapy equipment. Monitor patient response and document treatments accurately and promptly. Maintain complete and timely medical records in accordance with facility policies. Assist with the development and implementation of respiratory therapy procedures and protocols. Evaluate respiratory equipment and recommend repairs or replacements when necessary. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement activities. Attend required in-service education and mandatory training programs. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care. Perform additional respiratory care duties as assigned by the institution.
