International Multimedia Journalist – IV (Team Lead)Lead the production of live and recorded television, radio, streaming, and multimedia programming.Act as Line Producer in the control roomPlan, develop, and oversee content for news, public affairs, feature, special event, and promotional programming.Direct daily production activities, including story development, program rundowns, segment planning, and content coordination.Serves as a team leader, assigning work and coaching team members and reporting to management on their performanceWrites and produces news and feature content and programming as assigned for use in broadcasts and web and social mediaAs assigned, develops or updates standard operating procedures for unitAs assigned, during programs, serves as line producer and manages the timing and order of stories included in broadcastsConducts and writes up interviews for inclusion in his/her assigned storiesAdapts and/or translates content produced in English into native language, as assignedVersions content produced in native language into English for distribution, as assignedParticipates in the creation and development of regularly scheduled or special radio and/or TV programs and/or web and social media sections, as assignedVoices material for/during broadcasts as assigned, including material prepared by othersContributes to production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including fine editing of taped material, as assignedAs assigned, edits and approves copy and content prepared or written by others for broadcast and/or publication for inclusion in his/her assigned storiesAdapts and/or translates content produced in English into native language, as assignedVersions content produced in native language into English for distribution, as assignedParticipates in the creation and development of regularly scheduled or special radio and/or tv programs and/or web and social media sections, as assignedContributes finished products meeting standards to production elements of programs and content for broadcast and/or web and social media, including fine editing of taped material, as assignedContributes to teamwork, facilitating tasks of teammates, as neededMeets VOA standards for productivity, quality, and meeting deadlinesMakes suggestions about policy and workflow improvementsWorks independently or as a member of a teamFluency in target language (written, spoken) and deep knowledge of the target area, plus the ability to adapt stories into English as assigned, within the time assignedHas specialized knowledge including formal education in a field desired by VOA, regularly demonstrating that added ability through the performance of his/her dutiesKnowledge of Cuba’s history and familiarity with U.S./Cuba relationsOther related duties as assignedAbout the AgencyThe United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM) is an exciting, multi-media, multi-cultural, global media agency that carries out all United States civilian international broadcasting.
