Prostar Staffing is seeking an experienced  Custom Furniture Assembler/Maker  to join a growing manufacturing team. This position involves assembling and finishing custom furniture products such as lecterns, desks with lift systems, cabinetry, and other specialty wood products.

This is not a pallet-building or crate-building position. The ideal candidate will have experience with custom furniture, cabinet assembly, woodworking, carpentry, or millwork, where accuracy, craftsmanship, and attention to detail are essential.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday
Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Full-Time | 4-Day Work Week

Job Responsibilities

  • Process furniture components through various stages of production.
  • Sand, file, and prepare wood components for assembly and finishing.
  • Apply edge banding and perform detail-oriented finishing work.
  • Assemble custom cabinets, lecterns, desks, and furniture products using hand and power tools.
  • Fit prefabricated wood components together according to specifications.
  • Trim and sand parts to ensure proper fit and high-quality finish.
  • Insert screws, dowels, and fasteners into pre-drilled holes.
  • Secure components using adhesives, clamps, and assembly equipment.
  • Install hardware, hinges, drawer slides, lift mechanisms, and other accessories.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in cabinet making, furniture assembly, woodworking, carpentry, or a related field.
  • Experience assembling custom furniture or cabinetry preferred.
  • Ability to read measurements and work with precision.
  • Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic (air) tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand and work on your feet throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout a 10-hour shift.
  • Regular lifting of materials weighing 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive assembly and finishing tasks while maintaining quality standards.
