Echocardiography TechnologistWe are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Echocardiography Technologist to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations and provide high-quality images to support the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, ultrasound techniques, and patient care.ResponsibilitiesPerform transthoracic echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound procedures.Obtain high-quality diagnostic images of the heart and surrounding structures.Position patients appropriately and explain procedures before examinations.Measure cardiac chambers, valves, blood flow, and other required parameters.Assist physicians with stress echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiography procedures when required.Recognize abnormal findings and communicate urgent concerns to the appropriate clinical staff.Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment according to safety standards.Document examination findings and maintain accurate patient records.Upload and manage images using PACS or other cardiovascular imaging systems.Follow infection control, patient safety, and departmental protocols.Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.QualificationsAssociate degree or certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Cardiovascular Technology, or a related field.Certification through ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) preferred or required depending on the facility.Current BLS certification preferred.Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound principles.Excellent communication and patient-care skills.Ability to work independently and collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare teams.Preferred Experience1+ years of experience as an Echocardiography Technologist or Cardiac Sonographer.Experience performing adult echocardiograms in a hospital, cardiology clinic, or diagnostic imaging center.Experience with Doppler imaging, stress echocardiography, and contrast echocardiography preferred.Familiarity with PACS, EMR, and cardiovascular reporting systems.SkillsEchocardiographyCardiac SonographyTransthoracic Echocardiography (TTE)Doppler UltrasoundStress EchocardiographyCardiac Anatomy and PhysiologyPatient PositioningDiagnostic ImagingPACSImage Quality AssessmentPatient CareClinical Documentation
