Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
  • This role focuses on performing industrial maintenance on complex automated machinery within a clean room assembly environment
  • The position involves a blend of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting, as well as collaboration with engineering and production teams to support continuous improvement
Job Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair on automated assembly equipment, robotics, and auxiliary systems in the Assembly Department.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production machinery in a timely manner.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and document all maintenance activities in accordance with company standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability, uptime, and overall efficiency.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, new installations, and continuous improvement projects in a highly automated environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and strictly follow clean room protocols and housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures and company safety policies.
  • Use computer-based tools and interfaces to monitor, diagnose, and adjust automated systems, including PLCs and robotics.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience performing preventive and reactive maintenance on automated machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with pneumatics; hydraulic experience is acceptable and considered valuable.
  • Ability to perform electrical maintenance on systems up to 480 volts, including three-phase power.
  • Experience working with motors, sensors, and vision or camera systems in automated production environments.
  • Comfort using computers to interact with automated systems, maintenance software, and technical documentation.
  • Proven ability to understand and troubleshoot PLCs in a highly automated environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester Hills, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr.
