Location: Williamsport, PA 17701

Status: On-site, Daylight Schedule – Monday through Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire (Not a temporary position)

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join a premier Company in Williamsport. In this role, you will assist physicians with clinical, clerical, and organizational tasks while serving as a lead team member regarding day-to-day workflows.

Compensation & Career Growth

• Starting Salary Range: $19.74 – $22.22 per hour.
  • Note: Starting pay is based on experience and is non-negotiable above the 25th percentile ($22.22) at the time of hire.

• Future Increases: You are eligible for promotional and performance-based salary increases after hire as you grow within the organization. Through growth and continuous learning, additional salary increases can be earned, after hire, up to $29.67 per hour (not available to new hires).

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Perform vital signs, medication/vaccine administration, CLIA-waived testing, lab collection, EKGs, phlebotomy, and wound care.
• Patient Coordination: Provide patient education, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and obtain imaging/lab results.
• Workflow Leadership: Serve as an "EPIC super user" to assist staff with system navigation and help orient new team members.
• Administrative Excellence: Maintain accurate patient records in strict compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical care. To be considered, you must meet the following required criteria:

• Education: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant degree or diploma program.
• Certification: A current Medical Assistant Certification from a nationally recognized organization (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA).

Alternative Training: We also welcome candidates who have completed formal medical training and possess current certifications in the following areas:

• Nursing Assistant / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic

Core Clinical Skills Requirements:

We are looking for candidates with hands-on experience in a clinical setting. Proficiency or previous experience in the following functions is required:

• Patient Intake: Rooming patients, recording vitals, and medical charting.
• Clinical Procedures: Administering injections, performing phlebotomy, and conducting EKGs.
• Lab & Safety: Urinalysis, autoclaving/sterilizing instruments, and assisting providers with minor procedures.
• Life Support: BLS or CPR certification required (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
