The role involves analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and business intelligence to develop forecasts that support decision-making in the supply chain. Additionally, the Demand Planner collaborates with Purchasing and Account Management teams to monitor inventory performance, minimize stockouts and excess inventory, and align inventory levels with forecasted demand. Job Requirements Bachelor’sdegreeinBusinessorsimilarfieldor4+yearsofexperienceinarelatedrole Thoroughunderstandingofstatisticalmodels ProficientinMSOfficeapplications,includingPowerPoint,Excel,Outlook,andWord Excellentverbalandwrittencommunicationskills Excellentorganizationalskillsandabilitytomultitask/prioritizebasedonurgency Preferred familiarity with SQL, MS Access, and SQL Server Job Responsibilities KEYRESPONSIBILITIES Forecastdemandandplaninventoryreplenishmentsincoordinationwithprocurement Create“best” forecastbasedonhistoricaldataandfuturebusiness intelligence Analyzeforecastaccuracyandidentify forecasterrors;identifywaystoimproveforecasting accuracy Generatemonthlyforecastreviewreports,includingnewlysuggestedforecasts,specialsales history, and store openings for Account Managers to review Organizemonthlysalesforecastmeetings CommunicatewithAccountManagers regardingupdatestocustomerperformanceandspecial events Advise AccountManagement onwhichsafetystockmethodtoutilize basedonhistoricaldata and forecast Communicate andcoordinatewith Demand Planning softwareconsultantonsoftware issues and data connection with company’s internal remote server Monitor inventory levels regularly to ensure alignment with forecasted demand and prevent stockouts or overstock situations Collaborate with purchasing and account management to optimize inventory turnover and manage slow-moving or excess stock Release recommend POs weekly or as needed KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Demonstrate ability to complete all tasks with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-up Ensureprofessional,accurate,andtimelycommunicationtocompletetasksandresolveissues Analyzeandproblem-solveeffectivelyandefficiently Workcalmlyandeffectivelyinafast-pacedenvironment Organizeandplanformultiplecustomeraccountsatonetime Overseeallphasesofassignedprojectstoensurecompletionwithinbudgetandschedule Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all tasks Job Benefits We believe our employees are our most important asset.
