The ideal candidate will care for a diverse patient population with complex medical conditions, including multi-system failure and co-morbidities. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). Monitor and assess patient conditions, and implement care plans effectively. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Epic systems. Shift and Schedule The position requires night shifts (4x12 hours) with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2. Options for either 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend and every other holiday commitment is required. Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays. Qualifications Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Level 1 experience is mandatory. Epic experience is necessary for efficient patient record management. Adherence to float policy is expected. Virginia nursing license must be pending or current.
