WORK SCHEDULE4x10 shift scheduleMonday-Wednesday and Friday (with every Thursday off)7:00am-5:30pmOur clinic is closed on nights, weekends, and holidaysDEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Our Spine Center uses the latest technology and a multidisciplinary approach to treat simple and complex surgical spine conditions. Our surgeons provide care for common issues, including sciatica, herniated discs, scoliosis, and lower back pain. We also provide diagnostic intervention and minimally invasive surgery for tumors and blood clots. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESWorks in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of surgeons, physical medicine and rehabilitation doctors, PAs, ARNPs, and administrative staffCoordinates and implements care for patients with routine and complex surgical spine conditionsProvides pre-operative patient educationConducts post-operative discharge callsPerforms phone triage and responds to MyChart messagesObtains medical records and test results for providersManages prior authorizations and outgoing referralsPerforms blood drawsREQUIREMENTS2 years of recent ambulatory or perioperative nursing work experienceCurrent licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington StateActive BLSABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWESTUW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
