Each team member is hired for a primary position (Server / Cashier, Pizza Maker, Steam Cook / Prep, Dishwasher) and may be asked to assist in other duties. Cross‑training is desirable. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Server / Cashier Serve customers within assigned station using prescribed methods and standards, including greeting, sales suggestions, proper serving procedure, and checking guest satisfaction. Maintain product knowledge of all menu items and specials. Receive payment for all transactions following prescribed methods and for correct financial handling. Follow all required procedures outlined in Sbarro cash handling policy. Demonstrate full working knowledge of the Sbarro point‑of‑sale register system. Complete cleaning and stocking duties according to daily operating procedures. Practice food safety and sanitation standards required in foodservice establishments. Follow cost control systems including employee food policy and waste guidelines. Assist other team members when required. Use gloves, utensils, portion sizes, and temperature controls appropriately; present food attractively. Communicate timely with co‑workers and management regarding food inventory and quality. Other duties as assigned. Pizza Maker Prepare all food products according to specifications in the Recipe Manual and Recipe Cards using safety and sanitary procedures. Judge volume of sales to adjust pizza preparation and production. Communicate timely with co‑workers and management regarding food inventory and quality. Complete cleaning and stocking duties according to daily operating procedures. Practice food safety and sanitation standards required in foodservice establishments. Follow time and temperature controls, cost control systems, employee food policy, and waste guidelines. Serve customers within assigned station, using prescribed methods and standards (greeting, sales suggestions, guest satisfaction checks, recipe compliance). Maintain product knowledge of all menu items and specials. Ensure proper use of equipment, gloves, utensils, and portion sizes; maintain temperature controls and attractive presentation. Assist other team members when required. Other duties as assigned. Steam Cook / Prep Prepare all food products according to the Recipe Manual and Recipe Cards using safe sanitary procedures. Operate all preparatory equipment (knives, steam cooker, dough machine, pizza oven, stove) safely and sanitarily. Prepare adequate product independently according to production schedules or requirements. Maintain steam table items according to the Recipe Manual and product cards while meeting local health requirements. Rotate all products FIFO (first‑in, first‑out). Follow food safety controls, cost control systems, employee food policy, and waste guidelines. Dishwasher Maintain sink area, dining room tables, seating, floors, service stations, restrooms, and trash receptacles in clean, sanitized condition. Clean and sanitize all utensils and dishes, excluding knives, following prescribed methods. Wash, clean, and sanitize storage areas including walk‑in freezers and refrigerators as required. Serve customers as needed within assigned station, using prescribed methods and standards (greeting, serving procedures, guest satisfaction checks). Complete cleaning and stocking duties according to operating procedures. Assist other team members when required. Use proper equipment, gloves, utensils, portion sizes, temperature controls, and present food attractively. Maintain product knowledge of all menu items and specials. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to follow all health and safety laws, policies, and procedures. Ability to deliver food orders within specified time goals. Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and stooping. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to use kitchen knives safely and effectively. Adequate command of English (understanding, speaking, reading, and writing). Basic mathematical skills for accurate cash handling.
