Position Overview

The Sales Support Specialist serves as a key point of contact for customers and the outside sales team. This role is responsible for handling quotes, order entry, delivery updates, technical product support, and customer inquiries while ensuring a high level of service and accuracy throughout the sales process.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Process customer requests including quotes, orders, order follow-up, and delivery information.
• Accurately enter and maintain customer orders within the ERP system.
• Provide customer service and technical product information to customers.
• Coordinate with fulfillment teams and communicate expected delivery dates.
• Explain stock availability and shipping updates to customers.
• Support outside sales representatives with daily activities and customer needs.
• Meet established order entry and performance goals.
• Maintain detailed documentation and records to ensure continuity of service.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve customer issues efficiently.
• Communicate concerns, trends, and customer issues to management in a timely manner.
• Contribute to continuous process improvements and departmental objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing sales support or manufacturing customer service experience.
• Experience managing product information and supporting customers with technical product knowledge.
• Order entry experience within an ERP system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with QAD software.
• Previous experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, or technical product lines.
• Background working with engineering, automation, or industrial customers.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
