Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Step Down care at a facility in Newburgh, Indiana. This position involves providing specialized care for cardiac patients, including pre/post procedure cath lab and electrophysiology procedures, cardiac surgery admissions, and observation patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Newburgh, IN
• Schedule: 12-hour Days (6:00 a.m. 6:30 p.m.), minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Associate Degree or Certificate, IN Single State RN License, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); 2 years of experience in the specialty; at least 1 completed travel assignment; experience with EPIC electronic medical records.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CUPID EMR and passing Tele interpretation & 12-lead EKG tests.
• Float: Float to other cardiac, stepdown, or telemetry units as needed; floating between campuses may occur but cross-campus mid-shifting floating is rare.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit type: Pre/Post procedure catheterization lab, surgery admissions, observation patients
  • Patient ratio: 3:1 on day shift, 4-5:1 on night shift
  • Scrub dress code: Red scrub top, black scrub bottoms; no competing logos
  • Shift notes: 12-hour days, every other weekend/holiday rotation, may require precepting students or new hires
  • Call-ins: More than three call-ins can result in termination
  • Covid-19 vaccine not required (subject to change)
  • GSA hours are not guaranteed during orientation week; guaranteed set hours per week
  • Minimum experience: 0 years
