Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry Unit

Location: Voorhees, NJ

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift - 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Telemetry Unit provides direct patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment, monitoring patients with cardiac conditions. The RN works collaboratively with a healthcare team while adhering to policies and standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on telemetry.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient status regularly.
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage telemedicine equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Educate patients and families regarding health management and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Float to other hospitals based on staffing needs as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in telemetry or a similar setting.
• Active RN license in New Jersey or compact state license.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Must pass the Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of assignment commencement.
• First-time travelers accepted, though preferred candidates are experienced.
