The Residential Service Technician plays a vital role in installing, diagnosing, and repairing residential equipment including home service panels, generators, and pool wiring. This position requires frequent travel between service locations and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The technician utilizes standard hand tools and applies knowledge of NEC codes to ensure safe, code-compliant service delivery.

 

Responsibilities

• Install residential equipment such as home service panels, generators, and pool wiring
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical issues
• Conduct repair services and preventive maintenance on residential systems
• Interact professionally with customers to understand and resolve service needs
• Travel daily between various service locations efficiently
• Collaborate with team members or operate independently based on assignment

 

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in residential equipment service

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in electrical troubleshooting
• Strong customer service skills
• Experienced in equipment installation
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Effective time management skills
