IT Solutions Advisor

Queen City IT Professionals provides managed IT and cybersecurity services to startups and small to mid‑sized businesses in the Charlotte Metro area. We help clients keep their systems secure, reliable, and productive so they can focus on running their business. Our services include fully managed IT, help desk support, network and cloud management, and project work such as upgrades, migrations, and security improvements. Role Description – Sales Representative (Managed IT Services) This is a full‑time, hybrid sales role based in the Charlotte Metro area, with a mix of on‑site client visits and work‑from‑home prospecting. The Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business for our managed IT and related services. Day‑to‑day, you will identify target companies, run outbound outreach, qualify prospects, and schedule and lead sales meetings with decision‑makers. You’ll learn our service offerings well enough to understand client pain points and position the right solutions, then work with our technical team to prepare proposals, scopes of work, and managed services agreements. You will own the full sales cycle from first contact through signed agreement, maintain an organized pipeline, and provide regular updates on activity, meetings, and opportunities. The role is focused on new logo acquisition, not just account management, and requires comfort with consistent prospecting and follow‑up. Key Responsibilities Prospect and build a pipeline of startups and small to mid‑sized businesses in the Charlotte area that fit our ideal client profile. Conduct outbound outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn, events) to book qualified meetings with decision‑makers. Lead discovery conversations to understand business needs, current IT pain points, and budget. Work with our engineers to design and present managed IT solutions and proposals. Manage the full sales process from first meeting through contract signature. Track all activity, meetings, and deals in our CRM and provide clear weekly reporting. Coordinate with operations to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients. Represent Queen City IT Professionals professionally and reliably in all client interactions. Qualifications 2+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in IT services, SaaS, telecom, or another technical service environment. Demonstrated ability to hunt for new business, not just handle inbound leads. Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable talking to business owners and executives. Basic understanding of IT/managed services concepts (networks, endpoints, cloud, security) or a clear willingness and ability to learn quickly. Organized and self‑motivated, with the ability to manage your own activity and pipeline. Experience working with startups or small to mid‑sized businesses is a plus. Valid driver’s license and ability to visit clients around the Charlotte Metro area. Nice to Have Experience selling managed services, MSP offerings, or recurring‑revenue service contracts.
