Position Overview

Seeking a BE/BC Hematology Oncologist to join an established practice that is part of the largest provider of oncology services in eastern North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient only clinical care
• Established team of experienced nurses, navigators, and a nurse practitioner
• Monday‑Friday schedule that offers a 4.5‑day work week
• Shared regional call
• Outpatient clinical responsibilities, including:
  • Developing treatment plans for newly diagnosed hematology oncology patients
  • Chemotherapy oversight
  • Supervising advanced practice provider on follow‑up patients
  • Leading tumor board
• Advanced Practice Provider support for follow‑ups, symptom management, and infusion coverage
• Work within a cancer center that includes a healing garden, 8 infusion chairs, 2 private infusion areas, patient image renewal areas, and community outreach spaces
• Affiliation with multidisciplinary oncology teams for diagnosing late‑stage cancers, including support from disease‑focused medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and surgical oncologists
• Close collaboration with the Multispecialty Clinic offering primary & preventive care, immediate care, specialty care, lab, X‑ray, digital radiology, bone densitometry, IAC accredited ECHO lab, and AASM accredited sleep lab
• System‑wide integrated EMR – EPIC
• Built‑in referral network
• Easy commute to Greenville, Wilson, Raleigh, and surrounding areas
