Industrial Journeyman Electrician - Heavy Industrial Construction

Location: Multiple Project Sites
Schedule: 7 - 12's, 3 weeks on 1 week off

Per Diem and lodging included

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Industrial Journeyman Electricians for large-scale industrial construction, demolition, power distribution, automation, and controls projects. This is not commercial electrical work. Candidates must have hands-on experience working in manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, processing plants, industrial shutdowns, heavy power distribution systems, and automation environments.

The ideal candidate will have experience installing and maintaining industrial electrical systems including switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), transfer switches, power distribution equipment, rigid conduit systems, controls wiring, and automated production equipment.

• Switchgear and transfer switch installations
• Industrial controls and automation integration

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems
• Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in accordance with OSHA and site requirements
• Install and terminate feeders for power distribution systems up to 480V and above
• Install and wire switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, transformers, and distribution equipment
• Install and terminate Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
• Install and commission manual and automatic transfer switches
• Install, bend, and thread EMT, IMC, and rigid conduit up to 4 inches and larger
• Operate hydraulic, table, and mechanical conduit benders
• Pull and terminate large conductors, including parallel feeder installations
• Read and interpret one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and construction drawings
• Install and wire motors, VFDs, soft starters, control panels, and industrial equipment
• Install and troubleshoot PLC I/O wiring, sensors, relays, safety circuits, and control devices
• Install industrial grounding and bonding systems
• Perform equipment shutdowns, energization, and startup activities
• Support commissioning and functional testing of electrical systems
• Operate aerial lifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts safely
• Maintain strict adherence to all safety standards and procedures

Required Experience

• 5+ years of industrial electrical experience preferred
• Experience in manufacturing plants, distribution centers, food processing facilities, chemical plants, refineries, power generation facilities, data centers, or similar industrial environments
• Demonstrated experience with industrial power distribution systems
• Experience with switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and transfer switches
• Experience with industrial controls and automation systems
• Experience performing Lockout/Tagout procedures
• Experience with large conduit installations, including rigid conduit
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and one-line diagrams
• Ability to work extended shifts, overtime, weekends, and shutdown schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician License (ACTIVE LICENSE REQUIRED)
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
• NFPA 70E Training
• Experience with:

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to work at heights from aerial lifts and platforms
• Ability to work in industrial environments, including heat, dust, and active construction areas
• Ability to stand, kneel, climb, and work extended shifts
