Senior Procurement Engineer Job Description The Senior Procurement Engineer develops and industrializes the supply base, drives Product Cost Roadmaps (PCRs), and executes Design for eXcellence (DfX) analyses and value-creation to optimize cost, quality, and risk Your role:
- Strong Procurement background, appreciation of goals and metrics, strategizes, and delivers results
- Own and manage product roadmaps (BOM cost reduction, component de-risking, and overall Procurement strategy)
- Develops and implements cost-saving strategies to optimize product cost and manufacturability
- Use DfX methodology to improve cost, quality, manufacturability, value, and risk
- Represents the site procurement function in cross-functional teams and external negotiations, effectively communicating procurement strategies, cost considerations, and project updates to stakeholders
- You've acquired 2+ years of experience in supply chain management, engineering operations, research and development, quality, mechanical engineering or equivalent. 5+ years of experience preferred.
- Your skills include cost engineering, DfX methodology, supplier relationship management, business acumen, lean methodologies, and manufacturing procedures
- You have a Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Operations, Business or equivalent. Master's degree preferred.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
