Injection Molding Process Technician - 2nd Shift Bloomingdale (Near Chicago), IL Manufacturing Injection Molding Process Technician — 2nd Shift Confidential Employer | Greater Chicago Area, IL Full-Time | Direct Hire | On-Site Pay: $30.90–$39.30 per hour, based on experience, plus shift differential Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:30 p.m.–midnight Henpen Consultants is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician for a growing precision plastics manufacturer. Join a collaborative team producing high-quality components in a clean manufacturing environment. What You’ll Do Perform mold setups, teardowns, and machine startups and shutdowns. Troubleshoot molding processes to reduce scrap and downtime. Document process settings and implement approved adjustments. Set up auxiliary equipment and assist with robotics and automation. Partner with maintenance and engineering to resolve equipment issues. Train operators on procedures and support continuous improvement. What You’ll Bring At least 2 years of hands-on plastic injection molding setup, processing, and troubleshooting experience. Understanding of scientific molding principles and injection mold design. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to explain process adjustments. Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills. Strong communication skills, reliability, and attention to safety. Robotics, end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), and automation experience preferred.
