Job Title Mechanic Job Description Mechanic - 2nd Shift This is an excellent opportunity to be a key player at our Latham, New York facility where we manufacture magnets for MRI machines. Your role: Operate and maintain handheld and bench-mounted power tools (e.g., drills, riveters, torque drivers, grinders) to accurately fabricate, assemble, and install mechanical components for MRI systems while following safety and ESD protocols. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to interpret technical drawings, perform precise assemblies, and document tool usage and maintenance to ensure compliance with medical-device manufacturing standards. You're the right fit if: You have a high school diploma or equivalent. You have experience with light industrial or home improvement work. You have worked with soldering, wiring, fabrication or in a general warehouse setting. How we work together We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations. Philips Transparency Details The pay range for this position in New York is $15.00 to $23.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives, may be offered.
