Job Summary The Principal Data Analyst is an advanced individual contributor recognized for deep expertise in healthcare analytics and data science, this role applies specialized knowledge and extensive experience to solve complex problems, lead enterprise-level projects, and influence strategic decisions. Serving as a subject matter expert, the Principal Data Analyst partners with executive leadership, governance committees, and key stakeholders to align analytics strategies with organizational priorities. This position provides expert guidance on advanced methodologies, emerging technologies, and best practices, driving innovation through predictive modeling, AI-driven analytics, and integration of complex data ecosystems. This role ensures analytics solutions deliver measurable impact across clinical, operational, and financial domains. Essential Job Functions Enterprise Analytics Strategy Build and support data systems for TCSC programs, including TCHATT, CPAN Direct, autism and specialty care services. Serves as a subject matter expert in enterprise working groups, steering committees, and strategic planning efforts. Identify opportunities to measure patient outcomes, care coordination, service utilization, and program effectiveness across multiple systems. Some of the aspects of implementation will require the support and approval of outside public or community entities which may or may not come to fruition, in the event that they do not, consultation and/or education will become a critical component of the role. Develops and executes enterprise-wide analytics strategies aligned with organizational priorities. Leads design and implementation of advanced predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning and AI. Translates complex business challenges into scalable analytical frameworks. Advises senior leadership on strategic opportunities and risks informed by data-driven insights. Oversees initiatives that optimize population health, financial forecasting, and operational performance. Data Architecture and Governance Establishes and enforces enterprise data architecture standards and governance policies. Leads integration of multi-source data ecosystems, including clinical, research, financial, and external datasets. Designs scalable data pipelines and cloud-based solutions for advanced analytics and reporting. Implements robust security and compliance measures to protect data integrity and privacy. Defines and maintains standard work procedures for enterprise data stewardship. Innovation and Emerging Technologies Evaluates and implements cutting-edge technologies for automation, synthetic data generation, and AI-driven analytics. Pilots advanced tools for real-time analytics and decision support across clinical and operational domains. Champions innovation initiatives and fosters an environment of experimentation and continuous improvement. Identifies opportunities for leveraging automation and artificial intelligence to optimize workflows. Stays ahead of industry trends and introduces best practices for advanced analytics adoption. Enterprise Collaboration and Strategic Influence Serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and governance committees on analytics strategy. Design and implement a comprehensive data strategy supporting TCMHP, CPWE, TCSC, and LMHA initiatives. Facilitates enterprise-level data strategy sessions and requirements workshops. Builds consensus on data-driven decisions across stakeholder groups and departments. Communicates complex analytical findings in clear, actionable terms for senior leadership. Influences organizational policy and resource allocation through evidence-based recommendations. Knowledge Leadership and contributes to organizational analytics capability building. Leads enterprise analytics communities of practice and advanced training programs. Publishes scholarly work and represents the organization at national forums and conferences. Develops internal knowledge-sharing platforms and best practice repositories. Guides teams in adopting emerging methodologies and advanced technologies. Marginal or Periodic Functions Leads vendor evaluations and proof of concepts (POCs) for advanced analytics platforms, AI tools, and data engineering solutions. Present enterprise analytics outcomes and methodologies at national conferences, professional societies, and internal executive forums. Conducts post implementation reviews and analytics audits to validate model performance, data quality, and control effectiveness. Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure. Education & Experience Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, or related field with at least 8 year(s) of experience in healthcare analytics or data science, including leadership of enterprise-level projects. Expertise in advanced analytics tools, cloud platforms and industry standards experience. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Master's Degree in a quantitative or healthcare-related discipline or Ph.D. in a quantitative or healthcare-related discipline with at least 10 year(s) of experience in a complex healthcare environment with demonstrated impact on organizational strategy. Salary Range SALARY RANGE $114,507+ depending on qualifications Employment Eligibility Regular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, to include both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers.
