Education and/or Experience

· High School Diploma or GED – Minimum baseline for entry into the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Facility Cleaning — Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces throughout the building.
• Restroom Maintenance — Clean and sanitize restrooms; restock soap, paper products, and supplies.
• Trash Removal — Empty trash and recycling bins; transport waste to designated disposal areas.
• Surface Sanitization — Disinfect high-touch surfaces to maintain a healthy environment.
• Minor Maintenance — Replace light bulbs, report repairs, and perform basic building upkeep.
• Event Setup — Arrange furniture, equipment, and room layouts for meetings or events.
• Safety Compliance — Follow safety procedures, use cleaning chemicals properly, and maintain equipment.
• Outdoor Upkeep — Assist with light groundskeeping such as sweeping walkways or clearing debris.

Qualifications

• Experience — Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not always required.
• Physical Requirements — Ability to lift 25–50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Skills — Attention to detail, reliability, time management, and ability to work independently.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
