Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience to perform CT studies and assist in CT-guided procedures across a diverse patient population.

Details

• Works in the CT department serving neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Performs CT exams according to physician orders and established protocols
• Assists with CT guided procedures including biopsies, drainages, and aspirations
• Uses GE imaging equipment and PACS for image transmission, archiving, and retrieval
• Documents care and charges accurately in the electronic health record
• 4x10 hour night shifts, Sunday through Wednesday, 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT certification in Radiography and CT required
• CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) required
• BLS certification required upon hire
• Radiology Fluoroscopy certification required within 180 days of hire
• Venipuncture and IV certification required
• Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences or equivalent experience from a Joint Commission approved program
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and radiation safety required
• Prior acute care facility experience preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Performs venipuncture and medication administration for contrast studies with a focus on patient safety
• Assesses and educates patients prior to CT exams, addressing questions and concerns
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care techniques for high-risk and critically ill patients across all age groups
• Adheres to isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and radiation safety standards
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
• Returning staff or travelers must have a minimum 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
