LabVIEW Engineer

As an Advanced Facility Control Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace, you will help expand knowledge and capability of turbo machines and other aerospace hardware used for military and civilian applications by overseeing development programs that involve testing and troubleshooting many aspects of aerospace hardware. You will report directly to the Senior Test Engineering Manager and work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on an onsite work schedule. In this role, you will impact the development of advanced aerospace electrical systems that enhance aircraft performance, safety, and operational efficiency, contributing to Honeywell’s leadership in the aerospace industry. We are seeking a qualified engineer with broad-based programming skills who would be expected to assist with a variety of software applications, with good communication and mechanical skills and the ability to work independently or in a team setting in a variety of roles. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in LabVIEW and PLC programming and is comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering environment. Key Responsibilities Developing and supporting new and existing LabVIEW and PLC software solutions for aerospace test stands and equipment (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Phoenix Contact) Designing test cell control systems from concept, to drawings, to construction and commissioning. Troubleshooting software controls and communication issues or modifying facility screens to add capabilities Responding quickly with quality solutions to support our customers Qualifications – Must Have Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics 5+ years of experience in LabVIEW software development 5+ years of test and measurement experience Experience in Ladder Logic and Python Qualifications – We Value Experience in testing environment overseeing testing of hardware Experience as a technical leader and designer Experience with PLC’s, including Phoenix Contact, Allen-Bradley, or Emerson PLC’s Experience using AutoCAD Electrical to design various electrical hardware Working knowledge of industry electrical standards (UL508A, NFPA79, IEC, NEC) A good grasp of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices.
