Work Environment

The position is full-time and operates onsite at our surgical center located in Carmel, NY. You will be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, striving for excellence in patient care. Our team collaborates closely to ensure that each patient receives the best possible treatment while thriving in an atmosphere that values professional growth and teamwork. Working hours include Monday to Friday, typically from 5:00 pm onwards, contributing to a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and meticulously review patients' medical histories to develop effective treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and laboratory tests, to inform clinical decision-making.
• Diagnose and manage various health conditions, offering treatment plans that align with family medicine standards.
• Provide comprehensive patient education regarding chronic conditions, recovery processes, and preventive health strategies.
• Prescribe medications with careful consideration of patient health plans and monitor patient responses for efficacy.
• Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records to ensure continuity and clarity of care.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices through patient counseling and community health initiatives, focused on overall well-being.
• Participate in daily rounds, collaborating with other healthcare providers to share insights and strategies for improving patient outcomes.
• Stay informed about advancements in primary care through ongoing research and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant at our surgical center, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population ranging from young adults to seniors. Your focus will be on comprehensive family health, addressing a variety of conditions, both acute and chronic. You will engage with patients experiencing health issues related to family medicine, ensuring that each interaction is tailored to meet their individual needs.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in a family medicine or similar healthcare setting.
• Strong foundational knowledge of health and patient care regulations.
• Exceptional communication skills essential for fostering relationships with patients and team members.
• Demonstrated ethical standards and a commitment to patient-centered care.
• A collaborative mindset and positive outlook that supports team dynamics.

• A valid DEA number is required for this position.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a surgical or Family Medicine practice.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 180,000 , commensurate with your experience and skill level.
