Overview
We are partnering with a well-established provider of commercial security, access control, and life safety solutions to hire an Access Control Service Technician. This company supports customers across healthcare, education, commercial, and other mission-critical environments with integrated security and communications systems.
This is a field-based service role focused on troubleshooting, servicing, programming, and supporting commercial access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically strong, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently in fast-paced environments.
What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot and service commercial access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems
- Provide onsite and remote support to customers
- Diagnose issues and complete repairs in the field
- Assist with system upgrades, programming, and alarm takeovers
- Train customers and end users on system functionality
- Support installation teams when needed
- Maintain service documentation and communicate updates to internal teams
- Manage inventory and tools within company vehicle
- Stay current on evolving technologies and security platforms
What They’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience with commercial security systems
- Strong experience with access control, CCTV, and burglar alarm systems
- Experience installing, programming, and troubleshooting integrated systems
- Ability to read architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings
- Understanding of electrical, security, and life safety codes
- Comfortable working independently in the field and communicating directly with customers
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass drug screening and background requirements
- Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in varying environments
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
- Occasional overnight travel to regional job sites
