Field Crew Technician — ClearPath Construction

Lebanon, Nashville, Franklin, TN (Middle Tennessee) 

Full-Time 

$20–$30/hour, based on demonstrated skill

A Field Crew Technician at ClearPath is the person every jobsite runs better with. One day you’re closing out a punch list in a nearly finished custom home; the next you’re supporting the carpentry crew, handling demo on a renovation, or getting a job client-ready for a walkthrough. You touch a little bit of everything — and everything you touch gets done right.

Experience across the trades is preferred, and pay reflects skill — but we’ll also invest in a strong, reliable worker with some jobsite exposure who wants to build a real career in construction. What we can’t teach is work ethic, being a team player, pride, and showing up. Bring those.

What You’ll Do

Punch-out & small repairs:

\n
• Work punch lists and warranty items across trades — carpentry adjustments, drywall repairs, paint touch-ups, caulking, hardware, and fixtures
\n
• Handle the small fixes that make a house feel finished, in new builds and in clients’ occupied homes
\n
• Close items right the first time, so nobody has to come back behind you
\n

Trade support & labor:

\n
• Support our carpenters and other trades — measuring, cutting, hauling, holding, and staying a step ahead of the crew
\n
• Handle demo and site prep on renovations — careful, controlled, and safe
\n
• Move, stage, and protect materials so the right stock is at the right spot when the crew needs it
\n

Jobsite upkeep & protection:

\n
• Keep sites clean, organized, and safe — every day, not just walkthrough day
\n
• Protect floors, cabinets, countertops, and finished work as jobs progress
\n
• Keep every job inspection-ready and client-ready — homeowners judge us by what they see when they walk in
\n

• Stay ahead of the crew. See what’s needed next and get there before someone has to ask.

• Keep the job moving. Knock out your list, then find the next thing — there’s always a next thing.

• Protect the work. Guard finished surfaces — especially in occupied homes — and leave every site cleaner than you found it.
\n
• Flag problems early. If something looks wrong, say so before it costs days.
\n
• Represent ClearPath. Homeowners judge the company by who shows up. Show up right.

• Be a Team Player. Nobody cares how good you are at your job if you have a bad attitude.

What You Bring

\n
• Jobsite experience — ideally hands-on exposure to several trades. The more you can do, the more you’ll earn.
\n
• Comfort with hand and power tools, a tape measure, and a level. Don’t sweat the tools — we provide everything you need.
\n
• Reliable transportation to jobsites in Lebanon, Franklin, and surrounding Middle Tennessee.
\n
• The physical side of the work — lifting, ladders, demo, and full days on your feet, inside and out.
\n
• A clean, professional presence in clients’ homes — polite, respectful, trustworthy.
\n
• Reliability. On time, every day, ready to work.
\n

Nice to have:

\n
• Punch-out, handyman, or warranty-work experience
\n
• Basic drywall, paint, tile, or trim skills
\n
• Experience working in occupied homes
\n
• OSHA 10 or similar safety training
\n

Pay & Skill Progression

We pay for demonstrated skill, not years on a resume. Your rate is set by what you can consistently handle on your own — and it moves up as your skills do. Hourly rate plus overtime when available, paid time off, retirement plans and healthcare options available after 90 days of being awesome.

• Production & Schedule: lists knocked out on time and jobs kept ready for the next step
\n
• Material & Tool Stewardship: materials staged and protected, minimal waste, tools ready every morning

• Jobsite Standards & Safety: clean, safe, client-ready sites with finished surfaces protected — every day
\n
• Communication & Team: problems flagged early, daily updates, and professionalism with clients, Team Members, and trades
