Job Details Job Location: Barbur World Foods - PORTLAND, OR 97219 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $17.00 - $17.00 Hourly Produce Clerk – Barbur World Foods Portland, OR World Foods is hiring a Produce Clerk to join our team at our Barbur location. As a Produce Clerk, you will help maintain an attractive and well-stocked produce department while ensuring that only the highest-quality products are available to our customers. You will work alongside a supportive team that takes pride in great customer service and high food quality standards. Responsibilities Maintain visually appealing produce displays Rotate product to ensure freshness and quality Receive deliveries and verify orders with the Produce Manager Remove and log items that do not meet quality standards Maintain organized back-stock areas Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines Assist customers with product questions and recommendations Qualifications 6+ months of produce, grocery, or similar retail experience preferred Strong attention to detail and presentation Ability to work well in a team environment Dependable and punctual Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to read, write, and speak English Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods Lift up to 50 lbs Bend, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs as needed Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing stairs, and reaching overhead Ability to see at near and far distances and respond to a variety of sounds Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Optional health, dental, and vision insurance Optional short-term disability insurance 401(k) retirement plan Flexible paid time off that increases with tenure 50% discount at the deli 20% discount on all other store items at both World Foods locations Location Barbur World Foods, Portland, OR Qualifications Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience in a retail, grocery, or produce environment preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment Passion for high-quality food and local/international culinary products Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently Capabilities Requirements Ability to stand or walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing stairs, and reaching overhead Ability to see at near and far distances and respond to a variety of sounds #J-18808-Ljbffr
