Commercial Project Manager

We have an opening for a Commercial Project Manager position in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our client is seeking candidates at either the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level, depending on their level of experience.Qualified candidates looking to relocate to Grand Rapids may be eligible for relocation assistance.This is a chance for growth with an established construction company specializing in commercial and industrial projects, such as educational facilities, churches, and other non-residential buildings. Experience in residential construction alone will not be sufficient.The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of construction projects from the planning phase to project completion, collaborating closely with clients, field leaders, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure safe, high-quality work is delivered on time and within budget.Key responsibilities include:Oversee commercial and industrial construction projects from start to finishAct as a primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, field teams, and internal managementDevelop and manage project schedules, budgets, change orders, billing documents, and project recordsReview drawings, scopes of work, contracts, specifications, and project requirementsLead project meetings, monitor progress, address issues, and keep stakeholders informedAssess subcontractor performance, job costs, safety measures, quality control, and complianceProvide support, guidance, and coordination for project teams to ensure accountability and successful outcomesRequirements include:Hands-on experience in commercial or industrial construction project managementBackground working with a commercial design-build contractor is highly preferredFamiliarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Adobe, and Timberline/Sage is an advantageSolid understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and documentationAbility to interpret and analyze plans, specifications, scopes, and contractsExcellent communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skillsDegree in construction management, engineering, civil engineering, or related field is a plusBenefits offered:Potential for performance bonusesGenerous contribution towards medical premiumsPaid time off for vacation and wellness401(k) matching with immediate vestingCompany-provided vehicleTuition reimbursement for educationReimbursement for business expenses and mileageOpportunities for career advancementIf you are interested in this commercial construction opportunity based in Grand Rapids, apply now to find out more.
