Carrier Compliance Manager

Sure Shot Logistics, a growing full-service freight brokerage based in Royal Oak, MI, is looking for a Director of Carrier Compliance & Procurement to join our team. We’re seeking an experienced logistics professional with a background in freight, trucking, carrier relations, carrier vetting, or transportation procurement. Responsibilities Vet new and existing carriers to ensure they meet company safety and compliance standards Maintain accurate carrier profiles, documentation, and setup records Identify safe, qualified carrier capacity using current tools and innovative sourcing strategies Manage pricing for bids, RFQs, and customer opportunities Partner closely with the sales team to source reliable carrier capacity Provide timely follow-up and support throughout the carrier sourcing process Help strengthen and improve carrier procurement and compliance processes Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience Experience in freight brokerage, logistics, trucking, carrier relations, compliance, or procurement Highly organized and detail-oriented Excellent multitasking and time-management skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Strong negotiation and communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team 401(k) with company match and profit sharing Blue Cross Blue Shield health, vision, and life insurance Vacation and PTO About Sure Shot Logistics Sure Shot Logistics is a full-service freight brokerage built around exceptional service, honesty, and integrity.
