Associate Director, Business Insights and Analytics - Respiratory

Merck seeks an Associate Director to lead the Business Insights and Analytics team's business performance sub-team, serving as a strategic partner to Digital Human Health stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Lead team of business analysts, providing guidance on data analytics, visualization, and data-driven storytelling best practices
- Translate complex business requirements into analytical plans and communicate insights to inform strategic decisions
- Manage analytics and digital solutions projects to deliver actionable insights to marketing stakeholders on schedule
- Collaborate with data visualization, data solutions, and marketing teams to develop integrated, high-quality analytical solutions
- Drive innovation and experimentation using agile methodologies, AI, and measurable criteria to improve business processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, computer science, statistics, or related quantitative field
- 5+ years delivering complex analytical projects in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry
- Hands-on experience with healthcare business performance and patient claims data
- Expertise in pharmaceutical commercial analytics and translating business needs into analytical solutions
- Proficiency in advanced statistical and mathematical modeling with programming capability
- Strong communication and data storytelling skills for executive and cross-functional audiences
- Experience managing and mentoring direct reports (preferred: MBA, MS, or PhD)
