Job Title: Commercial Snow Removal Technician / Contractor Location: Memphis, TN (and surrounding areas) Employment Type: Independent Contractor

Job Overview

We are seeking reliable, experienced, and hardworking Commercial Snow Removal Contractors to assist with winter weather management for commercial properties in the Memphis area. Candidates must be available on-call during winter weather events, including early mornings, nights, and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Plowing: Clear commercial parking lots, roadways, and service drives using truck-mounted plows or specialized equipment.
• Salting & De-icing: Apply salt/de-icer to roads, parking areas, and walkways to ensure safe transit and mitigate ice hazards.
• Hand Shoveling: Clear snow and ice from walkways, entryways, stairs, and areas inaccessible by larger plowing equipment.
• Monitor site conditions during weather events and ensure work meets safety standards and site specs.

Compensation & Pay Rates

Pay is structured based on service performed:

• Snow Plowing: $175 / hour
• Hand Shoveling: $40 / hour
• Salting: $20 / bag of salt applied

Requirements & Qualifications

• Certificate of Insurance (COI): Must possess and provide a current, valid COI (General Liability) prior to starting.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable equipment, vehicle, and/or tools suitable for commercial snow removal.
• High reliability and availability on short notice during winter storm alerts.
• Physical ability to lift, carry equipment/salt bags (50+ lbs), and work in severe cold weather conditions.
