Registered Nurse – Stepdown

Schedule: Shift: Nights Weekends: Required

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year RN experience
Valid RN license (OK or Compact)
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Experience in telemetry/stepdown unit with a 4:1 patient ratio expected
Experience with cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation
Skills in hemodynamic monitoring, ABG interpretation, and respiratory support

Roles & Responsibilities:

Monitor and assess patients in a stepdown/telemetry unit
Administer medications and IV fluids as per protocols
Manage post-operative care for patients, including post-cath and post-MI care
Participate in rapid response and code team situations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
Document patient information accurately in the charting system

Compliance / Notes:

Orientation: 12 hours
Local availability must be listed at submission
Travelers may be asked to float to like units within scope as needed
