Process EngineerReports To: Process Engineering ManagerFLSA Status: ExemptSupervises: N/ABenefitsSalary range $80,000 - $100,000 baseHigh deductible medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, including spouse and children (modest payroll deductions)10 paid holidays per yearVacation Starting at 3 weeks per yearSupplemental leave (used in conjunction with Washington Paid Family & Medical Leave)401K with matching company fundsQuarterly bonus structureTuition reimbursementEssential Functions And ResponsibilitiesProcess Engineer to provide technical expertise to develop and improve manufacturing processes at Kaiser Aluminum TrentwoodThis position requires the ability to perform and multi-task in an ever-changing environment.Role And ResponsibilitiesDevelop, plan, and implement process or product improvement projects in a manufacturing environment.Provide technical support to production, maintenance, engineering, and sales and marketing groups.Develop processes to maximize capacity utilization, minimize cost and provide statistically sound product performances.Write technical reports summarizing work as well as presentations to peers on progress of projects.Work in cross-functional teams to support plant business goals and objectives.Lead and/or contribute to continuous improvement and six sigma project teams.Maintain manufacturing practices and procedures to optimize product quality/performance.Support plant safety initiatives through active involvement in the safety process.Collaborate with production management and workforce to drive and implement continuous improvement activities.Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations.About Kaiser AluminumTalented people join our team because we are a company passionate about environmental sustainability, employee growth, contributing back to our communities and championing a diverse and inclusive culture.
