Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy machinery, including skid steers, excavators, backhoes, loaders, on and off-road trucks. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. Responsibilities: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment . Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals. Perform diesel engine repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Repair hydraulic systems, ensuring all components function correctly. Utilize welding and soldering techniques for structural repairs as needed. Provide excellent communication with management regarding equipment status and repair needs. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules. Collaborate with team members to improve repair processes and enhance overall efficiency. Skills: Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in heavy equipment repair. Familiarity with hydraulic systems and their maintenance. Welding and soldering skills are a plus but not required. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
