Embedded UI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build user interfaces for embedded access-control devices with screens.
• Develop a reusable UI framework for Verkada’s current and future screen devices.
• Take technical ownership of major product components and drive ambiguous product ideas through completion.
• Collaborate with software engineers and UX designers to deliver intuitive, best-in-class products and experiences.
• Solve complex problems and learn new technologies in a startup-like environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a science discipline.
• At least 3 years of UI development experience on embedded devices, video games, and/or mobile applications.
• Proficiency in C/C++.
• Strong visual design and UX sensibility.
• Ability to take an incompletely defined product idea through to completion.
• Android mobile application development experience is preferred but optional.
• Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week.
