Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year in Felton, DE. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support preschool-aged students with disabilities in a collaborative educational environment, fostering academic, social, emotional, and developmental growth.
This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners by delivering specialized instruction and support that promotes success both in and out of the classroom.
Work Schedule:
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 37.5 Hours per Week
- August 2026 – May 27, 2027
Qualifications:
- Active Early Childhood/Preschool Special Education Certification required (Birth–2nd Grade)
- Previous experience working with preschool students (ages 2–5) required
- Experience supporting students with disabilities, including Autism and Developmental Delays
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized instruction for preschool-aged students with disabilities
- Create, maintain, and support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction to students with Autism, Developmental Delays, and other exceptional needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Collaborate with families, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Caseload:
- Caseload varies
- Must have experience working with preschool-aged students (ages 2–5) with disabilities
