The current open shift is:8am-4:30pmJob Summary:The Material Handler is responsible for supporting internal and external customers through accurate receiving, stocking, delivery, and shipping/receiving of materials. In addition, the Material Handler should be capable to safely operate all material support equipment required in the facility operations.Your Impact:These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.Efficiently locate & pull materials/supplies as listed on production/sales order and stock assigned production areas to maintain inventory levels for production; ability to accurately verify parts & quantities and complete BOLs to receive and/or ship material.Licensed and can operate all material handling equipment (i.e. Stand-up, Sit-down, Combi, Lancer, Tugger) at assigned Operations facility.Ability to lift 35 pounds in a safe manner.Able to/willing to learn how to operate a truck and transport from one area of the property to another.Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and proper 6S standards; use best practices to follow all safe procedures in operation of various material support equipment in assigned Operations facility.Must have outstanding transaction discipline - being diligent with quantity accuracy, making effective changes within JDEPerform Cycle Counts of Inventory and update JDE systemRectify inventory discrepancies, monitor KANBAN cards, previous experience with ERP systems, and JDEEffective in working cross-functionally with various internal customer.Minimum Qualifications:3 years or more relevant experience OR High School Diploma or equivalent educationAbility to become forklift certified to operate a forklift/tugger to receive and deliver parts safely and efficientlyStandout Qualifications:Ability to multi-task and adapt to an ever-changing environment and processesEffective in working cross-functionally with various internal customersKey Abilities Needed to Complete Essential Functions*All positions require the ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.Perform assigned tasksDemonstrate strong interpersonal communication skillsFollow instructions from supervisors and other co-workersCommunicate with other individuals in a loud environment to complete tasksRecognize and react to abnormal operating conditionsStay alert to the surrounding areas and alert individuals when operating a forkliftUse and wear personal protective equipment as indicated by the task or environmentHear safety alarms and other co-workersPerform counting tasksMaintain balance when walking and standing on potential slippery work floor while pushing a cart with equipment/partsMaintain balance when climbing on a portable step to retrieve partsUse a computer to track down partsIndividually lift and manipulate parts/equipment weighing up to 35 poundsTolerate constant standing, sitting, and walking throughout the shiftUse both hands for tool operation, carrying of parts, and assisting co-workers with heavy lifting of partsClimb in and out of forklift/tow motor safelyDemonstrate strength and physical stamina to complete the tasks safelyRemember task sequence, parts locations, and safety constraintsOshkosh is committed to working with and offering reasonable accommodations to job applicants with disabilities.
